San Diego FC kept its winning momentum alive Wednesday night with a 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids at Snapdragon Stadium — marking the club’s third straight win.
A spirited home crowd watched as defender Christopher McVey and forward Anders Dreyer each scored to help lift SDFC to second place in the Western Conference with a 7-4-2 record (23 points). The result also marked San Diego’s fourth win at home this season.
McVey struck first in the 33rd minute, heading in a goal off a corner kick. Dreyer doubled the lead in the 58th minute, calmly finishing to seal the result for the home side.
