SAN DIEGO — Grammy Award-winning R&B star Ashanti turned back the clock Saturday evening, delivering a high-energy performance that had a sold-out crowd singing, dancing and reliving the soundtrack of the early 2000s at SeaWorld San Diego’s Bayside Amphitheater. The July 18 concert was part of the park’s Summer Concert Series, which features nationally recognized artists throughout the season.
From the moment Ashanti stepped onto the stage, the audience erupted with excitement. Fans of all ages packed the venue well before showtime, creating an electric atmosphere that only grew stronger throughout the night. While many in attendance grew up with Ashanti’s music, younger fans also joined in, proving that her catalog continues to connect across generations.
